Vitis spp.

Similar to Hedera helix L.

The foliage of native grape vines (Vitis spp.) may be similar in shape to English ivy, but the leaf blade is not thick and is often hairy. Grape vines do not attach to tree trunks with aerial rootlets. Young grapes twine onto young trees and grow up with them.
