Liriope muscari
Similar to Liriope spicata (Thunb.) Lour.
Liriope muscari, big blue lilyturf, is very similar in overall appearance with foliage that is longer (12-20 in., 30-55 cm) and wider (1/2 in., 6-12+ mm) than L. spicata. Flowers are purple in dense whorls on spikes that rise well above the leaves in summer and produce black fruits. Considered primarily caespitose, this species' stolons are short or absent, and the roots produce few tubers. It is less cold hardy and has also naturalized in areas of the southeastern U.S.
