Verbena urticifolia (White Vervain)

Similar to Achyranthes japonica var. hachijoensis

Japanese chaff flower in a vegetative state may superficially resemble white vervain, Verbena urticifolia. In a flowering state, Japanese chaff flawer and white vervain may be distinguished by white vervain having distinct, but small corollas (petals).
